And with all the conflicting information about nutrition out there it can be hard to know what the best diet is for helping with these issues.

1. MEP Diet

The MEP Diet is predominantly plant-based with approximately 42% carbohydrates (non-processed) per day. There is in-depth research that supports that this is one of the best diets in the world for blood pressure, cardiovascular health, and diabetes.

2. Carbohydrates

Carbs do not cause diabetes, however, processed carbohydrates combined with hydrogenated oils can cause diabetes and all major causes of mortality.

3. Recommendations

For best results choose an anti-inflammatory diet plan that enables you to get in 3-5 servings of vegetables per day, eat fish 1-2+ times per week, chose whole grains and cereals (or replace them with low glycemic fruit and more vegetables), and replace most fats with olive oil.
