1958: Ancient Ayurvedic Fasting Protocols Rediscovered

WW: Ancient Ayurvedic Fasting Protocols Rediscovered

During my time in Ayurvedic Clinics in India and Sri Lanka, we fasted people using 3 specific methods…

Not everyone was on a water fast and the length of the fast differed depending on the body type and state of the individual…

You’re finally seeing many of the gurus in this space coming around to understanding that there is not one best way to fast, but instead modifications on foundational protocols…

That’s why on today’s #CabralConcept 1958 I’d like to share with you the ancient Ayurvedic Fasting Protocols that are now being rediscovered = Enjoy the show and let me know what you thought in the comments!

Show Highlights & Big Takeaways:

1. Know Your Body Type

If you trend more towards weight loss you’re fasting protocol will not look like that of someone that gains weight easily.

2. Catabolism

Fasting for too long for some individuals leads to a loss of muscle and lowering of metabolic rate. This happens most often in older adults and women.

3. Short vs. Long Fast

Short intermittent fasts are great for daily and weekly use, but longer fasts should not happen within the same month unless recommended by your health practitioner.
