2498: Using Exercise to Block Body Fat Storage

TT: Using Exercise to Block Body Fat Storage

Did you know you can easily block fat storage from building up in your body?

And no, you don’t have to exercise for hours a day…

Our bodies are miraculously designed and if you understand the science behind how your body stores liver glycogen and what exactly turns into excess fat you can use this to your advantage…

So on today’s #CabralConcept 2498 let’s find out how to use exercise to block fat storage- Enjoy the show and let me know what you thought!

Show Highlights & Big Takeaways:

1. Liver Glycogen

When we eat, our bodies turn the sugar we consume into glycogen. Glycogen is first stored in the liver and then stored in muscle tissue. Combined, the liver and muscle tissue can store approximately 500g of glycogen.

2. Lipogenesis

Once the liver and muscle tissue are filled up the body looks to store excess glycogen in body fat. Unfortunately, unlike glycogen storage, there is no upper limit on how much can be stored.

3. Exercise

When you exercise you can fully deplete liver glycogen within 60-90 minutes of HIIT or Metcon or SIT workouts. My recommendation for exercise is to do 20-30 of one of those forms of exercise or strength training followed by some form of sprint interval training to end the workout. Doing this will open up more storage in the liver and excess carbohydrates won’t be stored as body fat.
