Today’s show was a little bit of an unplanned rant ; )

I meant it in the best way possible, but I saw these fad diet gurus retracting their beliefs well before they even knew they were headed down the wrong path…

And the only reason I bring it up is to help all the people they inevitably cause harm to in their misinformation wake…

So on today’s #CabralConcept 2154 we’ll dig into the worst way to fast and without naming names add a fun little fad diet rant in to serve as a warning against future insane diets – Enjoy the show and let me know what you thought in the comments!

Show Highlights & Big Takeaways

1. Balance

No matter what diet you follow it must be balanced. Therefore, It does not need to have exactly equal carbs, protein and fat, but no one macro group should be taken down to almost zero.

2. Short vs. Long Term

I am all for a short-term (3-4 week) lower carb or different macrostructure, but that doesn’t mean it should be a long-term game plan. 

3. Non Compatible

Whenever you start a nutrition plan you should know what the goal is and if it’s working on rebalancing any underlying root cause issues - not just avoiding them (like removing carbs because you get bloated or have joint pain or skin issues). Do not use diets as a bandaid approach for deeper health issues.
