There’s a lot of debate about whether or not you should fast prior to enjoying a large flex meal or cheat meal…

Some believe fasting helps “bank” calories, while others argue it can negatively affect your metabolism.

So on today’s episode, I’ll share my perspective on what to do when planning a flex meal, including the approach I’ve followed for years and recommend to my clients.

1. One Day Reset

I follow the one-day reset almost every Monday. After dinner on Sunday night, I skip meals the following day until dinner. During that time, I have one scoop of Daily Nutritional Support (DNS) mixed in 20 oz of water three times throughout the day, along with my usual supplements. This combination provides essential vitamins, minerals, and electrolytes while helping to stabilize blood sugar.

2. Different options

I prefer using DNS powder because it contains protein and helps stabilize blood sugar, but there are plenty of other options. You could try green juice (without fruit), greens powders, or even simple lemon water.

3. Enjoy Your Meal

I want you to savor your meal without overindulging. Drinking something throughout the day can help prevent extreme hunger. When it’s time to eat, start with a salad or a fiber-rich vegetable appetizer. This will help you feel more satisfied and slow down before the main course, allowing you to fully enjoy your meal without feeling rushed.
