Check out today’s questions:
Lindsey: I would love your thoughts this. I do not want to make any foods forbidden, or label good/bad, etc. I understand how that can create psychologic issues and cravings. I do want to educate about ingredients and make her aware of how food makes her feel or how it psychologically affects and fuels her body. It may nourish her body or soul. My dilemma – I have always had an issue with the “everything in moderation” theory – because I cannot get past the info I have learned about food additives, dyes, chemicals, pesticides, etc in food, drinks and water. They are actual poisons banned in other countries and when studies are actually done, some even found to be contributing factors to many diseases. How do I reconcile this where do you draw the lines without psyc damage in the real world?
Lindsey: Hello Dr Cabral – I’d love your thoughts on a discussion about cold. I know this could be several podcasts on its own, but wondering about the potential risks or benefits of cold exposure for kids specifically. We all know about cold plunges for adults and other countries that do similar things even for kids. I believe I saw an article of a kindergarten class in Norway running through the snow barefoot with barely underclothes on. What’s the line of this being good for the bodily systems vs. the traditional wisdom of keeping a chill off the neck/lymph for fear of getting sick? Then we could get into the validity of germ theory if you wanted to tackle that? Thank you for your insights.
Julie: Hello! When doing the 21 day detox. Is coffee allowed in the morning? If so what are the parameters? Such as should I wait to have coffee until I’ve had the shake or can coffee be 1st? I’m wondering about a cortisol spike. Any info you have in regards to this topic would be appreciated, Thank you!
Pete: Thank you soo much for all you and your team do, I really appreciate everything you do and I have learnt so much and feel like a better human for it I recently had a health issue that resulted in ‘blood poisoning’ Long story short the doctors have put me on intravenous antibiotics for 4weeks Q- Does intravenous antibiotics effect the gut microbiome the same as oral antibiotics?? Thanks again love your work/ passion
Danielle: How can I be sure that my health data won’t be sold to a third party?
Thank you for tuning into today’s Cabral HouseCall and be sure to check back tomorrow where we answer more of our community’s questions!
