1. Standing

If you are not able to get in your 10,000 steps per day you might want to look into a standing desk. Standing up more during the day helps your glucose levels, overall health, and longevity.

2. Cold Weather & Colds

Why do people get sick more in the winter?  Our bodies have an innate immune response that is triggered when bacteria or viruses enter our nose.  In colder weather, there is a shrinking of the membrane in the nose and fewer immunoglobulins are able to attack particles that enter through there.

3. Exercise & Genes

Research shows that consistent exercise can influence how genes behave.  A study with identical twins found that the more physically active sibling had lower signs of metabolic disease than the less active sibling.
