Check out today’s questions:
Olga: Chronic hayfever and long-standing exposure to pesticides, DDT, welding fumes etc. what is the connection and how to normalise the immune system response? Would detox be appropriate? Thanks! Olga
Daniel: First off, thank you for your service. You have made a huge and positive impact in many lives and I continue to additionally spread your name and messages around. You give us all hope, which we do not get in the medical community. I am a 44 year old white male. I have been struggling with daily migraines the last 10 years (pain scale 7-10). Anything I tried as a preventative only made things worse, besides Propanolol. I take 120mg once per day. BP 115/77. Any and all things triggered or caused the migraine to increase in intensity. As you did, I performed a lot of research on my own and learned ways to manage and heal myself based on food/product eliminations. I worked the last two years with a local ND, but your history and experience brings it to a whole other level of knowledge. My testosterone levels were always under 300, so I thought I would try TRT therapy. Out of all things, that just about eliminated my migraines and allowed me to have the ability to take supplements without triggering a migraine. Gradually, I will work to get off TRT, which I have only been on for 18 weeks (1 injection every 3 weeks – 300mg of Testosterone Cypionate). I switched to your practice (under J. Hayes), I now know how deficient I was in vitamins, minerals, and how my body wasn’t absorbing much of anything. She put me on a good path. My question to you is, two years ago I went for an abdominal ultrasound due to stomach pain (ended up being gastritis) and 2 – 1x1cm ‘hepatic’ cysts on my liver were found and a 1- 3mm polyp in my gallbladder (no issues with gallbladder). I usually go for scans every 6 months. Last one (before starting your regimen) on 9/16/2019 now shows they are 2cm on my liver and a 3rd found (left, caudate lobe, right lobe), and polyp (gallbladder) is now 4mm, and now also 1cm cyst was found on my left kidney. If you wouldn’t mind explaining how these cysts form, steps to take, etc. Both, Serrapeptase and Nattokinase trigger a migraine for me within an hour. I know both can work miracles, if I could only handle it. MD do not seem concerned, but then again, they do not care much about our health (in my opinion). It will be interesting to see how things go on my next scan, now that fulfilling these deficiencies. For your Notes: (Julia/You have me on the following)Nutritional Supplements:Daily nutritional support shake: Start with ¼ scoop and increase as able with a goal of 2 scoops daily (on-going)GI balance:take 1 with each meal for 2 weeks and try to increase to 2 if able (complete 2 bottles)Daily digestive: 1 with each whole food meal (on- going)Liquid Vitamin D: 6 drops at breakfast (on-going)Omega 3 support: 1 with lunch1 with dinner (on-going)Full Spectrum Magnesium: 1 with lunch 2 with dinner (use for at least 3 months then reassess)Adrenal Soothe: 1-2 with lunch 1-2 with dinner (use for at least 3 months then reassess)Alkalizing Vitamin C: Start with ¼ of a scoop in the morning with the goal of a full scoop (for 3 months then reassess)Zinc Piccolinate: 1 at dinner (use for at least 3 months then reassess)*Iron Response Complete: 1-2 30 min before breakfast pending iron blood test. Patty: Dr. Cabral, I am a huge fan of your podcast. With all the podcasts I’ve listened to, I’ve never heard you talk about Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome. I’m wondering if you have treated anyone with this condition and if so, what you used and how much? My daughter has this condition, along with POTS, Mast Cell Activation Disorder and Celiac Disease. She tries to eat pretty clean and has been gluten-free for a year now. I’m looking forward to your thoughts on this!
Katie: Hi Dr. Cabral! I’m wondering what the reasons for seeing mucus in your stool might be. For years I’ve dealt with it on and off – I always just chalked it up to allergies and/or IBS. I’ve done all the gut testing and have done the CBO protocol, heal & seal, mold protocol, and am now on an abridged CBO that my integrative health practitioner put me on – all that to say, I’m doing the gut work! But I do still occasionally see those mucus-y stools. Any insight on why that might be, and what causes them?
Tara: I am a 56 yr old female no major health issues all my life and just now diagnosed with cataracts I’ve never been dependent on eye glasses a have some that I would were for seeing at the movies, theater or driving unfamiliar places at night and just started wearing readers a couple years ago however since the cataracts I really don’t need readers I’ve read that cold pressed haxane free castor can help /reverse cataracts but I’m hesitant to try ( I don’t want to cause more damage ) I’m currently on day 6 of detox I’m searching for a solution other than IOL /surgery I’d like to know if trying castor oil drops is ok or any other recommendations
James: Hi Doc, I once heard somebody talk about how unhealthy fats like the various vegetable oils, canola oils etc. were the WORST thing for your body as you can’t utilise them at all. Before this i was always under the impression that sugar was the WORST thing for your body, but apparently we can at least use utilise that. I guess this is a bit of a subjective question as it depends on your specific health deficiencies and imbalances when determining what is the WORST food/product for you. But if you was to say on a whole what the worse thing is, or the worst 3 things are, for the MAJORITY of humans – what would they be? IF you cant answer this question because it’s too “person-specific” then can you answer me this question – Added sugar vs. Unhealthy oils – what is worse for you and why? Even if you do answer the first, could you also answer the second, I’m quite interested in the Sugar vs. Oils debate. Thanks so much DOC, your great 😀
Thank you for tuning into today’s Cabral HouseCall and be sure to check back tomorrow where we answer more of our community’s questions!
