The purpose of the study was to look at whether consuming blueberries and bananas before and during exercise helped with recovery from exercise-induced stress.

2. What Did The Study Show

The findings suggest that both blueberry intake before and during exercise as well as eating bananas throughout exercise were associated with reduced levels of pro-inflammatory compounds, providing potential benefits during the initial hours of recovery after intense exercise.

3. Conclusion

The polyphenols in blueberries effectively reduce oxidative stress on the body, promoting quicker recovery. Incorporating a blueberry and banana smoothie into your workout routine can be highly beneficial for faster recovery.
