I love a good debate and this is one that I see often.

Is it best to integrate some small cheats into your daily diet or is it more beneficial to have one big cheat meal a week?

On today’s show, I want to share with you my thoughts on this and how both may affect your blood sugar, hormones, and inflammation levels so you can decide what is best for you.

1. Small Daily Cheats

Many people feel that being able to have something small on a daily basis helps them to not feel deprived of their favorite things.  However, a daily cheat will spike blood sugar and cause inflammation on a daily basis.

2. Once a Week

A once-a-week cheat provides you with a larger meal. This meal will cause a larger spike in blood sugar inflammation, but it only occurs once a week.

3. My Opinion

While I encourage you to do what is best for you, I prefer the once-weekly cheat. I like that I can plan on the reaction that will occur in my body for that day and then get myself back to stable the next day.
