Show Highlights & Big Takeaways

1. Herb of The Week

Schisandra Berry is a hormonal adaptogen that can be effective in reducing cortisol levels. It has been shown to help with fertility issues, PCOS, and estrogen dominance.

2. Fatty Food Cravings

New research shows that our food cravings actually come from the gut. Your tongue tells your brain what tastes you like, but the cravings for what you want comes from the nervous system surrounding your gut. The study indicated that by removing these specific neurons the cravings associated with it go away.

3. Processed Food & Colorectal Cancer Risk

A recent study came out to further demonstrate the association between processed foods and cancer risk. This research showed that men who consumed higher quantities of ultra-processed foods were 29% more likely to develop colorectal cancer.
