1. Microplastics & Tea

Many tea bags contain plastics that can release microplastics into your tea when heated. To reduce this risk, consider using a tea strainer with loose leaf tea or by emptying your favorite tea bag into the strainer. Be sure to check the recommended brewing temperatures for your tea, as different types require specific temperatures for optimal flavor.

2. Hair Loss Medication & Cholesterol 

A new study shows promising results, indicating that a common hair loss and prostate drug may also help lower cholesterol. However, this research was conducted on mice, and the doses used were extremely high compared to what would be appropriate for humans, so while the findings are intriguing, they are not applicable to humans.

3. Alkaline Water & Longevity

Recent research indicates that drinking alkaline water may promote longevity by slowing down aging processes. The studies suggest that alkaline water could reduce oxidative stress and inflammation, potentially delaying age-related diseases.
