Show Highlights & Big Takeaways:

1. Post Workout Recovery

If you are working out and have sore muscles, it is important to have effective post-workout recovery. I use methods such as alternating between hot and cold showers, taking supplements, staying hydrated, and using a foam roller on my hips, legs, and calves.

2. Lowering LPS

Sedentary individuals generally have higher blood LPS levels compared to those who are highly trained. However, research shows that a 12-week interval exercise program and a single high-intensity interval training session can lower LPS levels and related inflammatory responses.

3. Measuring LPS

To measure LPS levels, the LBP (lipopolysaccharide binding protein) test is considered the gold standard and is typically conducted when LPS levels in the blood are highest, usually about two hours after a meal. Other tests include the EAA (endotoxin activity assay), the endotoxin core antibodies test, and the soluble CB14 (scb14) test.
