1. Initial Phase

When starting a new dietary regimen, it’s crucial to spend 21 days detoxifying your system. In our practice, we recommend using the Metavolve program or Functional Medicine Detox program. Regardless of which you choose, ensure that you detox to balance blood sugar levels and reduce cravings.

2. The Next Step

After completing the initial phase, gradually reintroduce some of your favorite foods into your diet. Do this slowly to avoid disrupting your blood sugar levels, which can trigger cravings to return.

3. Example

In our practice, we emphasize balanced meals, including 7-9 servings of fruits and veggies daily, a portion of protein the size of your fist, and 2 tablespoons of olive oil or half an avocado. If still hungry after a meal, wait half an hour before indulging in a small portion of your cravings.
