Food sensitivities are reactions in your body to specific foods. They are not as severe as food allergies and typically involve a delayed response. IgG food sensitivity refers to an immune response involving antibodies reacting to specific food proteins.

The top 5 food sensitivities are almonds, chicken, cow’s milk, egg whites, and gliadin (found in gluten and wheat).

3. The Elimination Diet

Once you’ve identified your food sensitivities, you can begin an elimination diet. For foods you’re moderately sensitive to, eliminate them for 6 weeks. For foods you strongly react to, eliminate them for 12 weeks. Slowly reintroduce one food at a time for one week and monitor your body’s reaction and how you feel.
