In just eight weeks, these individuals experienced a 10% to 15% reduction in LDL cholesterol, a 25% decrease in insulin, and a 3% decline in body weight, solely through the consumption of real food without animal products.

In the short term, this dietary approach demonstrates positive changes in weight and cardiovascular health. The vegan diet, characterized by increased vegetable intake, reduced saturated fat, and higher fiber content, contributes to improvements in cholesterol levels and the stabilization of blood sugar. While predominantly plant-based diets offer various benefits, it’s worth noting that the longest-lived individuals often include some meat in their diet, suggesting a potential balance between the two approaches for longevity.
