HouseCall: Bone Marrow Donations, Seed Cycling, Monkey Pox, Hashimoto’s & Iodine, Sipping Drinks & Digestion, Yoga Poses & Pounding Heart
Thank you for joining us for our 2nd Cabral HouseCall of the weekend!
I’m looking forward to sharing with you some of our community’s questions that have come in over the past few weeks…
Let’s get started!
Janice: Dear Dr Cabral I’m very proud and honoured to be a part of the IHP2M community. What you have contributed to the world is amazing and I aspire to help many like you do. I would like to ask about your input about Bone Marrow Donations. Searches did not seem to come up. I understand there are 2 methods of donation, the traditional method is collection from pelvic bone under GA and takes about 40min. The other option is Peripheral Blood Stem Cell (PBSC) where the donor will be given Granulocyte-Colony Stimulating Factor (G-CSF) injections over 5 days leading up to the donations to increase stem cells in the body. Blood is collecting from one arm and passed through a machine that extracts the blood stem cells and returns all remaining blood through the other arm. This takes 5-7hours. May I have your thoughts on this. Is there any major impact to the donors health? I would really like to know what is your take on this from a health perspective! Thank you!
Chelsea: Hello Dr. Cabral! When seed cycling, can I to eat tahini + sunflower seeds during the pumpkin/flax phase? Or will this offset the benefits due opposing hormonal effects of the seeds? I eat a lot of tahini in sauces and as a source of fat and find it hard to plan meals without it
Maria: Hello Dr. Thank you so much for all that you do. You are so awesome and I am enjoying listening to all your podcast. I had a question about the monkey pox. What can someone do to give themselves the best immune system for if and when you were to get the monkey pox
Samantha: I love your DNS powder! However I just realized that it contains iodine and I have hashimotos. Would you consider making a version without iodine for all of your customers that also have thyroid complications?? Thank you
Amy: Hi Dr Cabral. Love the podcast and appreciate your wealth of knowledge. My question is one I’ve wondered about for many years. I tend to sip on drinks for a couple of hours. By drinks, it could be a protein shake, coffee with a bit of heavy cream, coffee with protein added, etc. More than just a glass of water. Am I doing a disservice to my digestion by doing this? Would it be better to consume beverages like this within 30 or so minutes? Thanks for the help :
Hayley: Hi, Dr. Cabral. I’ve recently tried starting yoga but I really struggle with any downward poses. I feel like so much pressure builds up in my head and neck, and my heart beat seems to pound in my head. Is this normal, and any suggestions for improving?
Thank you for tuning into this weekend’s Cabral HouseCalls and be sure to check back tomorrow for our Mindset & Motivation Monday show to get your week started off right!
