A whole “new” field of non-meditative activities is starting to become mainstream and I wanted to make sure you knew about them…

They are helping to revolutionize the relaxation and rejuvenation field by turning down the brain wave activity which can stress us out…

This new field of study is being referred to as “non sleep deep rest” (NSDR) and it includes more than just meditation…

1. Yoga Nidra

This is the original form of non-sleep deep rest and it is a 20-minute lying or seated mediation where you are relaxing every part of your body. (Video attached)

2. Binaural Beats

One of my favorite ways to elicit a parasympathetic relaxation response is through binaural beats. I use them while walking, thinking, or reading something light. (Use binaural beats for free in the Ayubowan by EquiLife app).

3. Breathwork

One of the most important aspects of calming your brain waves is through focusing on your breathing. This means calming your inhales and exhales to the point where you are consciously aware of each breath.
