HouseCall: Root Cause of Headaches, Tonsil Stones & Hemorrhoids, Statins & Heart Health, High ALP Levels, CBO Protocol & Acid Reflux

Welcome back to our weekend Cabral HouseCall shows!

This is where we answer our community’s wellness, weight loss, and anti-aging questions to help people get back on track!

Check out today’s questions:

Shannon: I am curious what your take on headaches that stem in your neck and the base of the skull called cervicogenic headaches. What’s the root cause of that type of muscle tension headache? I’ve struggled with them for a couple years now. I’m working with a practitioner and have tested for candida and am on the CBO protocol currently. We’re getting ready to test for hormone imbalances next week but I’m fairly sure I have Imbalances. I have heavy cycles and low iron as well with the headaches being mainly the first weekish of the cycle.

Jason: Hello Dr. Cabral, I’ve dealt with tonsil stones and hemmrhoids for quite some time. I know I have sibo, dysbiosis, and some yeast/fungal overgrowth. Working on those as well. Wondering if you can explain why these are happening and what I can do for them apart from the CBO. Thanks!

Emily: My MIL has high levels of Lipoprotien(a) 232. Her LDL levels are in a good range. She is currenly taking the statin Crestor which is hydrophilic. The RYR is a more natural form but seems to be a lipophilic statin. Her worry is that lipophilic statins crosses the blood brain barrier. Could you please explain this and if this should be of great concern? Would it be better for someone to take a hydrophilic statin vs RYR?

Dana: Asked this on the Facebook page and was advised to ask here. My husband and I are currently doing CBO protocol. Before starting that my husband started getting unusually exhausted after moderate exercise, 50 years old and has always been active, no known health issues. Moderate activity now wipes him out for the rest of the day, this is unusual for him. Recently went to PCP who did blood work and found ALP levels over 450, tested again to rule out lab error and it was about 10 points higher. Has had heart ultrasound and stress test, both normal. Will be getting abdominal ultrasound next week to check liver, etc. If ok, probably bones next. Wondering if CBO protocol dieoff could contribute to high ALP? Live in a country where we can’t do mail lab testing. Advice on what else to check for?

Brent: Hi Dr. Cabral, I ran labs years ago and was recommended the cbo with C drops and finisher. Labs showed no parasites at that time. During the cbo i started to see some progress in my digestion and other areas but once I started month 3 I started to notice acid reflux symptoms like a swollen throat and shortness of breath that worsened at night. (symptoms I’ve had for many years that returned). I thought it was because of changes to my gut microbiome and continued on to the cbo finisher and the problems only got worse to the point that I had to stop the protocols. I can only assume that somewhere along the line due to stress or poor food combining or not eating strict enough that I ended up causing sibo while trying to fix it. Can’t think of any other reasons for my situation. Plz help ty.
