Show Highlights & Big Takeaways
1. A New Form of Berberine May be Far More Effective: A newer extract called dihydroberberine (GlucoVantage) appears to be about five times more absorbable than traditional berberine and lasts longer in the body. Early research suggests it may help support healthy blood sugar levels, improve metabolism, reduce body fat while preserving lean muscle, and lower cholesterol and oxidative stress.
2. ADHD & Adults: Many adults believe they have ADHD, but nutrient deficiencies may play a role. Research from Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center found that nearly one in four adults think they may have ADHD, often influenced by information on social media. While ADHD is real, deficiencies in nutrients such as B vitamins, zinc, omega-3s, and vitamin D can contribute to similar symptoms and should be addressed before turning to medication.
3. Diet & Prostate Cancer: Research published in JAMA Oncology and conducted through Johns Hopkins Medicine found that men with slow-growing prostate cancer who followed a more anti-inflammatory diet experienced slower disease progression. Diets higher in fiber, fruits, vegetables, and whole foods while lower in saturated fat appeared to support better outcomes.
