HouseCall: Antibiotics & Acne, Supplements & Rashes, Proctalgia Fugax, Protocol Order, Hydrogen Bottles
Welcome back to our weekend Cabral HouseCall shows!
This is where we answer our community’s wellness, weight loss, and anti-aging questions to help people get back on track!
Check out today’s questions:
Tara: My son is 14 Eats dairy free, gluten free, mainly a Mediterranean diet. Lots of fruits, veggies, meats and healthy fats. About a year ago he had a break out on his chin that I took him to the dermatologist for. They ended up putting him on antibiotics for two months and his face went from a few blemishes on the chin to all over his face. I made him stop taking the antibiotics and immediately got him on a broad spectrum probiotic. His face was good until about August of this year. Now the breakouts are cystic on his chin and all over his face. He is very regimented with his skin care. Do you think a GI map is needed ? I also have him on pantothenic acid, zinc, and vitamin d along with the probiotics. I should also mention he has zero GI issues
Darren: Good day Dr. Cabral. Is there anything in a natural preworkout supplement that can potentially damage gut lining or cause rashes along head, back, wrists, elbow creases etc? I’ve been using one that has caffeine, beta alanine, niacin, stevia, L citrulline, taurine etc. I initially thought it was either silicone or nickel from fitness watch that caused the itching and it somehow spread, but I’ve since stopped and it persists. Asking if any of those ingredients in excess are likely to spur issue. Thanks for all you do.
Rachelle: I suffer from Proctalgia fugax. It is a sharp rectal pain. It happened a lot during my pregnancies but now 20 years later, it’s happening again. Do you have any recommendations or treatment ideas?
Shawn: Good Morning Dr. Cabral and Team! If you had to go back in time and treat yourself when you were at your worst ( I believe you had a plethora of issues brought on by reckless use of antibiotics), what would you do and in what order? Do you think one round of the CBO protocol would be enough when you were at your worst? What other protocols would you implement, and let’s say you had a budget of 3K USD? Thanks!
Pat: Are all hydrogen bottles the same? If not, how to choose the right one?
Thank you for tuning into today’s Cabral HouseCall and be sure to check back tomorrow where we answer more of our community’s questions!
