Mary: Hi Dr. Cabral! I live in Northern NY State. We cannot get any at home lab test except hair sample tests. How accurate are these tests? We also do not have ANY functional medicine practices near us. I have lupus and hashimotos, and my husband and my daughter both have digestive issues. I don’t know where to start but I want my family healed. We do eat mostly whole food and organic diet and strength train regularly.
Lina: Hi Dr. Cabral. Thank you so much for all you do to help us maintain good health. I have two questions: 1) After fasting for more than 24 hours, when I eat my first meal, my throat literally hurts when I swallow food. This happens every single time. What could be causing this and what can I do to avoid this discomfort? The pain does goes away after the first meal after fasting. Blessings to you and your team. 2) Will adding beet powder to my electrolytes drink break my fast? Lina
Mark: Hi Stephen it’s Mark from Australia. Thankyou so much for your podcast. You have changed my life for the better! I have a lipoma half the size of a golf ball on back of neck, right next to the spine. I have had 3 taken out from the same spot previously but keep growing back. Would there be a cause as to why they grow in the first place? Since close to my spine I’m thinking of taking it out again. What’s your opinion on this? Thanks for all your work Stephen. Natalie: Hi Dr. Cabral, I am 27 and since my periods started, they occur around on a 35-40 day cycle. Is this something you would deem an imbalance that needs to be corrected? I have also suffered with crashes in fatigue for the last three years, do you think the two can be related?
Anonymous: Hello, I was listening to your answer about plant based cheesecake not being the best option for dessert and I am wondering what would you recommend as dessert on a daily basis? Are there any healthy desserts? When should they be eaten and what do you and your family have for dessert? Thanks for all you do!
