WW: The Main Reason For Low Energy & Poor Sleep

Do you wake up exhausted?

Did you get a full 8 hours of sleep but still have to drag yourself out of bed?

Our bodies have a natural sleep/wake rhythm and when working properly you should start to get tired when it gets dark out and begin to wake up when the sun rises.

When our bodies are out of sync, however, we can feel groggy and sluggish in the morning and wired at night.

That’s why on today’s #CabralConcept 2364 I’d like to share with you how our sleep cycle can get out of sync and the reasons why you might have low energy and poor sleep – Enjoy the show and let me know what you thought in the comments!

Show Highlights & Big Takeaways

1. Cortisol

Cortisol should peak between 6:00am - 8:00am. Low cortisol in the morning results in low energy and trouble getting going for the day. High cortisol at night can be caused by poor food selection, stimulating TV shows, and exposure to bright lights and may affect sleep negatively.

2. Melatonin

If cortisol is elevated at night due to blue light exposure, melatonin won’t be produced or will be produced to a lesser degree.

3. Natural Rhythm

Create a natural rhythm using blue lights in the morning and reducing/eliminating blue light exposure in the evening. This rhythm will help produce healthy levels of cortisol in the am and normal levels of melatonin in the evening.
