So today I want to go over some very important research that could shed some light as to why some people can’t raise their vitamin D levels and what some potential solutions might be.

This research aimed to investigate the correlation between visceral adipose tissue and vitamin D levels.

2. What Did The Study Show

The study found a strong connection between vitamin D levels and belly fat (visceral adipose tissue), suggesting that excess belly fat may impact vitamin D levels. It also revealed that vitamin D is getting trapped in the visceral adipose tissue and suggests that the higher your BMI the less likely you are to absorb vitamin D. 

3. Conclusion

One takeaway from this study could be to increase your dose of vitamin D to ensure adequate levels, but this might result in more vitamin D getting trapped in adipose tissue, which could lead to issues in the future. Alternatively, you could explore finding the root cause of excessive visceral fat and create a plan to address it.
