1. Does it Have Calories?

If it has calories it most likely breaks your fast (at least for a temporary period of time). This means fat in your coffee in the morning still breaks a fast (sorry ; )

2. Does it Have Carbs?

High glycemic carbs (nonvegetable and fiber) above about 8g can increase blood sugar and will most likely trigger an insulin release stopping your fast.

3. Is it Liquid?

Liquid is a curious one since if it is low in calories the liquid will be digested quickly and may have little effect on your state of autophagy. More research on this is being done every few months so stay tuned!
