Welcome back to our weekend Cabral HouseCall shows!
This is where we answer our community’s wellness, weight loss, and anti-aging questions to help people get back on track!
Check out today’s questions:
Vivienne: Hi there! I’ve got multiple food sensitivities at the moment, salicylates, oxalates, histamine, and amine issues, plus can’t seem to manage sulfur-based compounds particularly well either. I’m eating a very limited diet and doing okay but don’t think this is sustainable longer term. How do you go about helping someone recover when they’re sensitive to such a wide range of foods? What labs would I need to get also to get started?
Tori Longie: hello! i am new to the podcast and absolutely loving it! i just listen to episode #185, after listening to #880 =) i have a question about milk, i am weening my son from breast milk and always have been taught to mix breast with whole milk to ween, would you do the same with almond milk?
Pat: Hi Dr. Cabral, Can a bald person get the hair tissue mineral analysis done using hair from other parts of his body (like his chest), or does it need to come from the head? Thank you for spreading such useful, life-saving info through your podcast!
Gina: Dear Stephen, I believe my body is sick due to years of being on a restrictive Keto diet. I went to hypnosis and only eat meat and vegetables. Now I can lose weight. I am always bloated, have gas, stomach distress. I always get Charlie horses and always have post nasal drip. BUT I can’t afford all the tests you suggest taking. What do I do ???? I am about 30 pounds overweight and I’m so afraid to get off keto even though I’m stuck in my weight loss. I don’t know where to begin. I appreciate your feedback. Thank you. Gina
Anne: Hi Dr. Cabral, I recently found out that the water where I grew up and where my family lives is very high in lead. We use a Brita water filter, but because it’s New York City ( which has a reputation for having great Tap water) we weren’t diligent… What can I do? should I focus on a liver detox or straight to heavy metals? Can i do both at once? help!
Nichole: Hi Dr. I suspect that I have been dealing with candida overgrowth for the past 1-2 years. Although, I have been diagnosed with hypothyroidism medications have not helped.
I wanted to know what the best way to treat candida overgrowth is. Would your 7-day detox help with something like that? Thank You, Nichole
Sammy: Hi Dr. Cabral I came across you through Jay Ferruggia’s podcast and have since listened to all of your podcasts and am halfway through reading the rain barrel effect. Appreciate all of the free information that you put out to help people live their healthiest and best lives. Being an extremely pale-skinned/redhead living in Australia where the sun and UV levels are quite high did you have any thoughts on using peptides to protect from the sun? Or the supplement Anaxanthin? I’m converting to organic sunscreen from regular sunscreen as you’ve recommended although do find it to be very thick and ‘cloggy’. Thanks in advance.
Morgan: Hi Dr. Cabral! I was wondering if you could explain the fast, slow, and mix oxidizer from the hair tissue mineral analysis (HTMA) test and the significance of this marker. What are the diet and lifestyle differences that are best for each of these? Could the oxidizer type change as you start to heal (ex. if you are a slow oxidizer showing signs of stress on the HTMA and you follow your protocol and improve, would the oxidizer type change)? Thanks so much for all your all of your help!
Emma: Hi, About a year ago I got blastocystis homonis and went on intense antibiotics to get rid of it which worked but ever since I got the blasto my stomach hasn’t been the same. I find myself often severely bloated and sensitive to a lot of foods and well a lack of energy. I’ve been doing a low fodmap diet for a while and I find that helps but still my stomach is not what it used to be. I was wondering if there was a test you would recommend for me to do so I can figure out what’s going on and get back to how I used to be and feel. Cheers, Emma
Thank you for tuning into today’s Cabral HouseCall and be sure to check back tomorrow where we answer more of our community’s questions!
