HouseCall: Supplement Decision Overwhelm, Compliance, Micronutrient Testing, Healthy Bread?
Dawn: As a consumer, with every podcast, I listen to, I get intrigued by another vitamin? then I think I should add to my diet? then I don’t know if I’m taking too much stuff? Like, I need more iron, zinc and magnesium. I’m 47, getting older, skin and hair changing – that freaks me out. So, I want lots of Biotin, Iron, Zinc – what about fish oil? What can I do to be looking younger longer or at least try? I know this is the same for so many people – you get caught in all the marketing hype and it plays on your emotions.
Dr. Cara: Hi Dr. Cabral, I wanted to let you know I really appreciate all the continuing education you’re doing for patients and doctors alike. I feel like I learn more from your podcast than I have attending post-doctoral seminars! My question is how do you get patients to comply with your protocols? In my practice I seem to have difficulty with patients following the food and supplement recommendations. Any advice would be appreciated and thank you in advance!
Maura: What do you think about micronutrient testing and cardiometabolic testing? My naturopath offered these options to me as well as just some of the basic blood work. Do you recommend this as a good wellness strategy? I did not see it as an option on your website but it is through spectra cell.
Renessa: Gday! thankyou so much for all your information, i am so happy i have found your podcasts. I’m just wondering if you would recommend bread at all? If a certain type is best, eg. Organic Whole Rye bread? Is organic bread with simple ingredients healthy? Thanks! God bless.
