Types of Breast Cancer Screenings

Thermography: Thermography is a non-invasive, radiation-free screening method that uses infrared imaging to detect abnormal heat patterns in breast tissue, which may indicate the presence of tumors.
Mammography: Mammography is currently the gold standard in early breast cancer detection due to its high efficacy, but it comes with risks associated with radiation exposure.
Quantitative Transmission Ultrasound Tomography: This method uses ultrasound to create detailed images without radiation or breast compression. It is particularly effective for women with dense breast tissue, although it is newer and not as widely available.
Non-Contrast Torso MRI: This screening method uses magnetic fields and radio waves to create detailed images of the breast and surrounding tissues without contrast agents, helping to detect abnormalities such as tumors.
