TWT: The “Danish Twin” Study Shocker

“There is nothing you can do, it’s just genetics…”

How many times have we heard this said?

What is frustrating about this is that it disempowers a person into thinking there is nothing they could have done or nothing that can be done to overcome whatever issue they are facing.

But on today’s show, I want to go over research that details why lifestyle is more important than genetics and how you can incorporate this knowledge into your life.

Join me on today’s  #CabralConcept 2643 so I can share with you the “Danish Twin” study shocker and help you understand why genetics do not define your destiny – Enjoy the show and let me know what you thought!

Show Highlights & Big Takeaways:

1. Danish Twin Study

The Danish Twin Study followed 2872 sets of twins born between 1870-1900. The goal of the study was to explore how genetics and lifestyle factors played a role in longevity.

2. Danish Twin Study Results

The results from this study showed that only about 25% of longevity-based genes may be inheritable which leaves 75% to be attributed to lifestyle.

3. Lifestyle is Key

While genetics are important to understand, lifestyle is the biggest contributing factor to health and longevity. Every year matters and everything compounds. Aim for more healthy habits, lifestyle choices, and more healthier choices than not.
