Check out today’s questions:
Anonymous: Hi Dr Cabral, thank you for sharing your knowledge and being the light that you are. I have a question about pimples. I often get them on my thighs and very occasionally 1 or 2 on my belly and face. I’m a 40 year old female, vata type, healthy weight, feel well, sleep well. Any thoughts?
Leanne: Hi Dr Cabral, I’m new to the show after a chance finding and now half way through The Rain Barrel Effect, I know it’s going to benefit the whole family so thank you for the work that you’re doing! I want to ask a question about my 4 year old daughter. Born overdue by emergency c section, she’s had a tough time from the start. Took a long long time for her to breastfeed properly, multiple food allergies when weaning, did not sleep well for the 1st 2 years and now has frequent night wakings, she still has like a cradle cap crust on her scalp which I assume is yeast related, her diet is terrible as she has a genuine aversion to try anything that’s not beige, its a struggle. We’re also waiting to see a geneticist as Ehlers Danlos Syndrome has been mentioned. Can you give any wisdom on any of the above?!
Jeremy: Hi!! I absolutely llhave loved your podcasts! I am worried about my motber and father, both have just turbed 60.. My dad has been eating preservatives and packaged foods for a long time and see.s to think he is unbreakable.. I’ve finally motivated him and put him on a personal meal plan. He is dominantly Kapha, He is actually taking gym classes now and working out very hard, my question is.. can it be too hard for his heart to handle right now considering he has severe gout and constant inflammation (going down since on the plan) And I want to know what are the best tests to check he is not in danger of a heart attack and also knowing what I can do about it right now. Secondly, my mother. She’s always tried to be healthy, she is actually in a state where she struggles to lose weight with any plan I give her as her metabolosm adapted to her extremely restricted and over exercising diet plans She is a person who see’s extreme emotion of stress quite often and will not budge with listening on stress management strategies, and with that in mind.. I’m also worried about her heart health.. her memoty in the last 5/10 years has become more and more forgetfu.. I’ve been begging her to take Omega 3’s she also suffers with chronic heart burn..
Meghan: Hey Dr Cabral, I have a tendency for low thyroid and have recently fallen pregnant. I believe I heard it correct that you are not an advocate for people taking thyroid support while pregnant? Would you just encourage thyroid lifestyle improvements like your thyroid smoothie daily and all the things you talk about in the health results accelerator to try and maintain good thyroid health without actually supplementing? Are there risks if I was to supplement with something similar to your daily thyroid support? Thanks for always being an incredible resource and for everything you put out into the world. You are spectacular!
Sacha: Hi there! I love your show and had a question about EMF’s. I recently moved to Austin Texas and looking to buy an apt close to an “inactive” power plant. I want to protect myself/family from EMF’s and was wondering if there is a specific EMF detector device or services you recommend? as well as any products to use in the home to protect ourselves. I know of the defender shield and to turn off wifi/airplane mode etc but I’m interested in specific home product recommendations. Thank you again for all of your help !!
Jim: Hi Dr. Cabral – I had COVID in November 2020. Now, several months later (starting in Feb 2021), I’m having GI issues. It feels like indigestion and mild stomach pain that comes and goes. My primary doc put me on Pepsid but I want to address the root cause. What could be causing this and how can I heal my gut issues? In terms of diet, I’m on a primarily plant-based diet and have been for nearly a decade. I don’t eat meat. I occasionally eat salmon, eggs and dairy (couple times per week). My main protein sources are legumes and soy. I tend to like acidic foods like coffee, citrus and tomato based foods. In fact, coffee seems to trigger this indigestion so I’m down to one cup per day (from two). I’ve been making a point of trying to eat a salad or smoothie each day and I’m making more of an effort to eat fermented foods. Any advice you can offer would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
Thank you for tuning into today’s Cabral HouseCall and be sure to check back tomorrow where we answer more of our community’s questions!
