Video Demonstration: Great Beach Arm Workout
Whether you’re planning a warm vacation or getting ready for the summer one
of the most requested body parts that people email me to see videos on is how
to work their arms.
The requests usually involve questions on what are the best ways for toning
their biceps, triceps (underarm area), and the shoulders – especially the
triangle part of the shoulder (lateral deltoid) on the side of the arm.
To me, there’s nothing wrong with taking pride in how you look or wanting to
exercise your body to look and feel your best. I think it’s a healthy frame of
mind as long as it does not compromise healthy practices or becomes an
obsession.
Having given you my little disclaimer we can now get into a fantastic upper arm
superset for the biceps and triceps!
This is one of my studio clients’ favorite exercises and you can do it at home
with a band or at the gym with cables. It’s just great to know you can take
workouts with you when you’re traveling.
Exercise #1: Rope Overhead Triceps Extensions
The 1st part of the superset involves a rope overhead triceps extension where
you get to work the underside of your arm through a full range of motion. I
really like this exercise since it also involves your core muscles as well. Plus,
you can complete the movement through a smooth stretch and press the entire
time.
Exercise #2: Rope Bicep Curls (Supinated)
The 2nd part of the superset is a great compliment to the triceps exercise you
just completed. It targets all the bicep muscles by “bending” the rope to take
some of the stress off of the forearm muscles and place that work directly onto
the biceps.

end of any workout once per week. Also, if you’re doing something different
you can always try this upper arm superset at the end of one of your resistance
workouts.
It only takes about 1 minute per superset and I know you’ll definitely
feel and see the effectiveness of these 2 “muscle-defining”
movements!
