HouseCall: Detox Symptoms, Winter Asthma, Vaginal Itching, Vaginismus, Titanium Dioxide, Gestational Diabetes
Thank you for joining us for our 2nd Cabral HouseCall of the weekend!
I’m looking forward to sharing with you some of our community’s questions that have come in over the past few weeks…
Let’s get started!
Charity: I ordered the 14-day detox. On the 5th day into the second week, I got sinus pressure/cold. Mind you I haven’t been sick in probably 12 years ( other than a minor cold maybe once or twice) I woke up this morning and my left eye is horribly bloodshot and red . Just wondering if this is a side effect of the detox. I have never seen anything like this.
James: I’m in my late 30’s and have been dealing with asthma since childhood. I eat a healthy diet with lots of fruits and vegetables. I am dairy-free and exercise on a regular basis. My asthma during the warmer months is very controlled with the medication Advair, but like clockwork, every November I start to suffer from nasal congestion, coughing, low energy and seemingly low immune system. This seems to go on and off for most of the winter months. I’m interested in finding the cause of my asthma instead of constantly treating the symptom with meds. Do you have a protocol for Asthma?
Stacie: Hi! My husband and I just finished the 21-day detox on Friday (1-25). A couple of days before I finished the detox, I began experiencing a lot of vaginal itching and burning and redness around the opening of the vagina. I also had an increase of the athlete’s foot. I do experience these off and on, but they came back andI’m still dealing with it. Do you have any remedies that I could use topically? Also, we can’t afford the OAT or HTMA tests right now. Would you recommend the CBO Protocol? I did post a question on the Facebook page in December listing more of mine and my husband’s symptons. A possible problem with starting the CBO protocol…..we are going on vacation to Aruba from March 9-16. I guess I was wondering what course of action I/we should take?
Anonymous: I writing about an issue I haven’t found covered, but one I suffer from-Vaginismus. This has made intercourse very painful and basically impossible. I was only diagnosed by my gyno a few years ago, and haven’t found many treatments for it other than basically physical therapy. For me this is primary (I’ve always experienced pain when using tampons or sometimes even exercising), and this does not come from any past abuse trauma. Has this come up in your practice and do you have a root cause explanation or recommendations outside of physical therapy that might help? Thank you all the resources and information you provide, I can’t tell you how much your podcast and online community has helped me!
Vanessa: Good Evening, Firstly I just wanted to say how much I’ve been enjoying reading The Rain Barrel Effect and thank you for all the information and resources you’ve provided in the book. I’ve been trying to switch to more natural make up and I just had a quick question (I hope it’s ok to contact you about this). There is a brand here in Australia, INIKA Organic, that is considered a natural makeup brand. I had a look at their ingredients list and their mineral foundation includes the following: Titanium Dioxide (CI 77891), Iron Oxides (CI 77491, CI 77492, CI 77499). Is this what should be avoided in the toxic make-up ingredients list on page 222 of the book under ‘coal tar dyes’ or are there different types of CI ingredients that are considered safe? I only ask because I was looking at the Maia’s foundation ingredients and they also contain iron oxides with these numbers so I was a bit unsure. I did have a look at the link provided to David’s website but I just wanted to double-check. Thank you very much for any information or assistance.
Kristen: My husband and I are trying to get pregnant for the second time. The first time, I was diagnosed with gestational diabetes. Having educated myself on the pathogenesis of the disease, I am seeking help to avoid the hormonal imbalance if at all possible. I understand most of this is due to placental hormone release, but I am wanting to avoid it if I can control it with my diet, etc. I have a degree in biomedical sciences, so I can keep up with the lingo if you wouldn’t mind giving me any advice with an explanation of WHY for me. Thank you so much!
Thank you for tuning into this weekend’s Cabral HouseCalls and be sure to check back tomorrow for our Mindset & Motivation Monday show to get your week started off right!
