Research from 1950 to 1999 found significant declines in the levels of key nutrients, including protein, calcium, phosphorus, iron, riboflavin (vitamin B2), and vitamin C.

2. Why Is This Happening

Nutrient levels in crops are declining primarily due to modern agricultural practices that focus on higher yields, faster growth, and pest resistance. As a result, crops are growing larger but contain fewer vitamins and minerals.
