For many years I have worked with clients to figure out the most efficient way to include intermittent fasting into their diets.

What we have found is that the majority of people do best with a 14-hour fast.

 But what timeframe is optimal for that?

1. What is a 10-Hour Eating Window

Most people will find that a 10-hour eating window is best in terms of intermittent fasting. This includes stopping eating at 6pm at night and breaking your fast at 8am in the morning.  All meals will be eaten within the 10-hour time span of 8am-6pm.

2. How to Get Started With a 10-Hour Eating Window

Getting started is very easy. At this point, you do not need to make any additional changes to your diet. Just work towards eating your last meal of the day by 6pm and do not eat anything again until the morning at 8am.

3. What Are the Benefits of a 10-Hour Wating Window

Research shows that people who fast for 14 hours (and eat within the 10-hour time frame) show improvements in sleep, blood pressure, glucose stabilization, weight loss, and much more.
