HouseCall: Loose Anagen Syndrome, Yellow Teeth, Burning Mouth Syndrome, Inositol & Testosterone, Immune Protocol for Kids, Accutane & ED
Thank you for joining us for our 2nd Cabral HouseCall of the weekend!
I’m looking forward to sharing with you some of our community’s questions that have come in over the past few weeks…
Let’s get started!
Callie: Hi Dr. Cabral, I am looking for answers for my 3 year old daughter who was diagnosed with Loose Anagen Syndrome. Ever since she was a baby, she loses massive amounts of hair every February. I am not sure what it is about the month of February (we live in Wisconsin so it’s winter during that time) but that is the exact time it occurs every year. The past couple of years her hair has grown back well after she loses so much every February, but this year it is not growing back as well. The hair that she does have is extremely thin and fine, gets tangled easily, and falls out easily. Any ideas of possible root causes for this condition? What can I do to help her with this? Thanks!
Hayley: Hi Dr. Cabral. I have two kids – both of them eat very well both have different levels of yellowish teeth. My daughters is very mildly yellow but my sons is more yellow brown. They eat very well – have grown up vegetarian/vegan- But my son was also diagnosed with Crohn’s last year. Maybe that has something to do with things? Not sure. we’ve always gone to a holistic dentist he thinks that 30s are very healthy but I don’t believe they should be this discolored. If you have any ideas would love to know. Thank you so much again for your time
Michelle: I recently came upon your podcast and have to say how much I enjoy learning from you. I am hoping you may be able to help. My mother has had burning mouth syndrome for over 9 years. She has been to almost every type of dr/dentist/specialist under the sun and no one has been able to figure out the cause or come up with any protocol to give her any relief. She also was diagnosed with Parkinson’s later the same year as the burning mouth. Do you have any insight into this disease and how it can be better managed? It’s been 9 years of continuous pain and the lack of enjoyment of anything she eats and drinks is taking a toll. Thank you.
Kelsey: Hi Dr. Cabral! I’m wondering if you could shed some light on why taking an inositol supplement was so successful in lowering my testosterone. After starting an inositol supplement daily and it being the only notable change in my lifestyle, my testosterone went from way higher than normal for a woman my age (27yrs) (5.3) to within normal range (3.6). These levels were taken on the same day of my cycle so it seems that it really is a true reflection of the success of inositol. I know inositol is meant to help with blood sugar regulation, but was not expecting it to be so helpful in lowering my testosterone levels. Thanks!
Heather: Hello Dr. Cabral!! At the time I am writing this I hope you are enjoying summer with your family! A couple of your older podcasts on children’s immune health have been circulating (858,956) and questions have been asked of the Facebook group about where to find the supplements you had recommended in the shows now that the FDA no longer allows you to link them. My question is, are you still doing the same immune protocols for your girls as you did years ago? How can we find out what the products are that you use for your kids? All of us parents out there who love and trust your advice would be so grateful to get the info! Blessings to you for the light you are in this world!
Anonymous: Hello, ‘m asking this question for a 24 year old fairly healthy, muscular young man. He took Accutane (isotretoin) for acne , about 5 months now and now is experiencing some impotence (erectile dysfunction)– this started about 3 months ago. I’ve read some case reports about this medicine possibly cause this side effects and people are saying that it is a LONG term side effect ( and irreversible). Is this true? Or is there hope we can rebalance / cleanse the body of the toxins from this medication? THANKS so much for your help and mission. I’m a huge fan of the podcast and have recently tried intermittent fasting and starting to feel the wonderful benefits. 🙂
Thank you for tuning into this weekend’s Cabral HouseCalls and be sure to check back tomorrow for our Mindset & Motivation Monday show to get your week started off right!
