1980: How Much Protein Do You Need Based on Your Workouts & Goals

TT:  How Much Protein Do You Need Based on Your Workouts & Goals

General protein intake requirements will always be different than those for active exercisers…

The reason for this has to do with both metabolic needs, as well as muscle tissue recovery from the workouts themselves..

So on today’s #CabralConcept 1980 I will detail how much protein you need based on your workouts and goals – Enjoy the show and let me know if you have any questions in the comments below!

Show Highlights & Big Takeaways:

1. Assess Your Output

Remember, to increase input you must increase output. If not, there is an excess which can contribute to health issues – Just like having not enough.

2. Ease into Increases

Even though you may need to up your protein by 30g per day based on your physical exertion or goals that don’t mean you have to do it all at once. Try adding half that amount to lunch for a week and assessing digestive function before increasing.

3. Re-Assessing

Just like you need to assess in the early stages, you can re-assess after adding more protein into your diet for the past 60-90 days. Has your recovery, energy, strength, stamina, immunity, satiation, or body transformation goals improved?
